"Sunday Fun"

Waylon is not walking yet and the kids really are trying to push him along and make him walk faster. Little do they know then he will be following them around everywhere they go. Here Jarrett is walking him across the lawn, teaching him to walk.
Jarrett just got the chore done of wiping Waylon's runny nose, now he is putting the tissue in his pocket so he doesn't have to come in and get another one. Smart thinking Jarr.

Jake and JaKelle are content playing but Jarrett thinks that he needs to take Waylon over to the horses so here he goes again carrying him very carefully over to the horses. Yes, it makes me really nervous watching him. Anyone that knows me I'm a nervous nelly anyways.

Kids playing in the sand box. They love to be outside and getting dirty.

Oh what a chore to lift him in but he did it and he was so smart about how he was going to do it without hurting him. First, he lifted him up and set him on the top step then climb the steps himself. Next, he hoisted him onto the tracter seat. Amazing that a 7 year old would even think to be so careful with a 1 year old.
Sunday after church we always go over to grandma and grandpa Sorenson's for Sunday dinner. Today after dinner the kids wanted Waylon to go outside and play so they took him out and Jarrett was kind of the tender. Here Jarrett is telling him all about the tracter and Waylon is way facinated. So Jarrett decides maybe he should show Waylon the inside and here he is just getting ready to lift him up the stairs to get him in the cab.

Sanpete County Fair 2009

Mom and kids at the rodeo Saturday night. It was getting pretty dark and I didn't get that good of a picture but all the kids look pretty tired.
All the fam enjoying the Sanpete County Fair parade. Everybody except for Landon poor guy had to work during the weekend of the fair he hasn't missed a fair in 15 years and he wasn't to happy about it that for sure. We really enjoy the County Fair and this year our good friends Wade and Tausha Anderson from Sterling were the fairboard chairpersons. Pretty good only living in Sanpete County for 1 year and being put chairmen.
Jake is enjoying his popcorn and gatorade instead of catching the candy at the parade.

Jarrett and Dillon Sorenson with one of Barex Dairies cows in the parade.

JaKelle is getting ready for the parade to start.
Kind of blury but way cool I had to post this picture of my kids with Jerry Sloan and his wife at the Sanpete County Fair. You just never know who you might run into in Sanpete County. He is a really nice man he was at the fair with some of his friends from Haramen at the tractor show. Jake even got his cowboy hat autographed and he was so excited.

2nd Grade here I come!!!

Jarrett peaking out the bus window giving his Grandma Sorenson a big grin before he heads for home.
Jarrett getting on the bus to come home from school. He gets to ride the best bus of all in the mornings and thats with his Grandma Sorenson.
Jarrett at his new desk getting ready to begin the first day of school.

Jarrett and Mrs. James his new 2nd Grade teacher. I think by the looks of their wardrobe they talked to each other the day before and decided they would wear matching clothes.

Jarrett in front of the school before school started on Monday Aug 24th. Jarrett started 2nd grade this year and he was so excited he couldn't even stand it. I don't know that he was excited about having to get up early seems he likes to sleep in but he was way excited for his new teacher and to go back with his friends. Jarrett's good buddy Tate Sorensen is in his class again this year he has been in the same classes since they started going to the Elementary. Jarrett was also very excited to begin a new year with his new teacher Mrs. James I think he was a little worried that Grandma Sorenson will know everything he does wrong since Mrs. James and Grandma are good friends.

CATCHING UP!!!!

Perry, Jaden, Angela, Travis, Landon and I giving our horses a break on the trail. One of many breaks actually, I think they just wanted to stop and visit. It was GREAT fun thanks for inviting us to go Travis and Angela.
Landon and I on our matching BIG black horses.

Travis and Angela decided to have a bath while on the mountain. They are posing in Colleen's bathtub.

Finally upto date posting! Yesterday Landon and I went on a 6 hour horse ride up Willow Creek with his dad Perry, brother Jaden and our good friends Travis and Angela. It was nice to get away and relax before work begins it was quite enjoyable and plenty hot but GREAT! Here Landon is on Whiskey trying to get himself hurt, no just kidding this is how he always is being silly and showing off .

JaKelle, Jake and Jarrett are trying to find the Beaver that grandpa saw. We were to noisy to find him as soon as we got off the 4-wheeler I'm sure he heard us coming. They thought they would try to find him anyways but no such luck they never got to see him DANG IT!
JaKelle and me on our bright yellow 4-wheeler. JaKelle kept telling me she was big enough to drive but I'm not brave enough for that yet.

Jake, Landon and Jarrett on their 4-wheeler. Can't hardly even tell who those kids are under their helmets.

Perry and MerriLynn on their 4-wheeler posing for the camera.

Again, slow posting but trying to catch up. Last weekend Landon, me, the kids and his parents went up on the mountain for a 4-wheeler ride it was a great day for 4-wheeling not to hot but not to cold either, that is until the sun went down and then it got kind of chilly. Here we are in front of Kens Cabin.

Jake going for a spin around the yard. Not really steady yet and he looks kind of nervous but he is doing great. Since I am so slow at posting he is a PRO at riding his bike now. He can even ride Jarrett's bike, and Jarrett's bike is quite a bit bigger than Jake's so he is doing GREAT!

Jake is getting on his bike all by himself he finally learned to ride his bike with no training wheels Yippee. Good thing for big brother's because Jarrett just decided one day to take of Jake's training wheels and teach him how to ride without. Jarrett and Jake are pretty good friends most of the time so he had alot of patience that day teaching Jake. The kids are always begging me to take them for a bike ride around town and with no training wheels it will be much more enjoyable for them I think.

Jarrett riding Spider bareback with no halter on. What a funny kid if he could spend every minute with this horse he would. I'm just hoping Spider will be alive for a few more years atleast until Jake and JaKelle are well enough riders to ride something else.

As you all probably know Landon is a horseshoer and that is what he does for a side job away from working at the prison. Well, Jarrett comes by it honest here he is 7 years old and learning to shoe is old horse Spider good thing Spider is gentle because the kids just hang out in the coral with him and lift his feet and ride him bareback with no halter on.

Jarrett leading Whiskey around letting her eat all the grass around the trees that the lawn mower cannot get too.
JaKelle is playing with our dog Rugger. Rugger is a 10 month old St. Bernard I know crazy because I don't know how we are ever going to afford to feed a full grown St. Bernard but we will he is the best dog ever. So mellow and he loves the kids. He is our Gaurd Dog.

Jarrett is quite the horseman, this is Landon's 3 year old horse Whiskey that he rides and Jarrett got a wild hair one day. He wanted to show his dad that he could catch Wiskey all by himself so he got the halter and went in and caught her. She is pretty tall so he had throw the halter rope over her neck and had to lead her over to the tire in the coral and climb up on it and put her halter on.

HaPpY 9th WeDdInG AnNiVeRsAry

This last week I got to celebrate my 9th wedding anniversary with the most amazing husband, dad and friend. Amazing how fast time flies by and what many things happen in 9 years. We have three wonderful children that we both love spending as much time with as possible and Landon is the best dad anyone could ever ask for. He is always teaching our kids how to do new things and be the best that they can possibly be. Landon is a man of many talents and he can do many things and I am very grateful for him, and so happy that I get to have him in my life. He is my best friend and I just want him to know how HAPPY he make me. I LOVE YOU LANDON

24th of July 2009

The night of the 23rd Centerfield has a parade. Jake, JaKelle and Mattisen are waiting to see Jarrett come so they can get some more candy from him.
Jarrett riding Spider and his best friend Tate Sorensen riding Brownie in the Centerfield parade.

Grandma and JaKelle enjoying the rodeo. JaKelle had been eating a blue snow cone.

Jarrett is just happy that he didn't eat the dirt, grandma is trying to keep him out of the way of the sheep so he doesn't get run over.

Jake is so proud after his great sheep ride.

JaKelle is standing by the fence with her finger in her mouth trying to decide whether or not she is going to ride. As it turned out she did not ride and I don't blame her one bit.

Jake being so excited turned out to be scared to death when he finally got the chance to get on. But even though he was so scared he rode further than Jarrett and he was so proud of himself. Jarrett said that Jakes sheep wasn't as mean.

Jarrett riding his wild sheep.

Jarrett was nervous to have to be weighed because he already had his spurs on and we didn't know if he would make weight with all of his heavy clothes on. But he barely made it the guy said so he was ready to ride.

Jake got on and of course made weight and was soooo excited to be able to ride.

Each kid has to step on a scale to see if they make weight. They have to be 50lbs or less. JaKelle got on but wasn't to sure about riding.

The kids are so excited about getting on a sheep this year they are standing by the fence waiting their turn.

We are on our way into the Scipio rodeo. The boys are prepared to ride a sheep.

Utah Wild Animal Park

This is a much better version of a wild animal park. The animals are actually wild, especially the bear. My horse don't quailify for "Wild" status, obviously pretty gentle for letting Lando ride out on the saddle.
